During the month of November, the front room at Murmurs will be completely transformed in SWALLOW, a queer concept club for Los Angeles that transitions from night to day. Designed by and with the community, the architecture of SWALLOW mimics the contraction and expansion of the human body. Passage through the entrance brings you into a warm, hollow space where there is freedom for intimacy and exploration. There are four main modes of experience that shift from day to night:

DAY: Coffee shop offering specialty beverages and experimental snacks.
NIGHT: Glowing bar with the energy of a mouth. Passage through the orifice brings you to a warm, hollow space. Murmurs will host weekly bar nights offering mercurial house cocktails.

DAY: Plush healing room, home to a rotating roster of self-care experiences including facials, sound baths, kundalini classes & more

DAY to NIGHT: Discrete outdoor lounge featuring custom pink leather swings bathed in healing infrared lights

Come inside & celebrate the inauguration of SWALLOW's month long residency at Murmurs Saturday, November 2 from 10 PM to late. Offering milky beverages on tap, a curving dance floor, plush healing chamber diffused with a custom icy scent by Julianne Lee & discrete outdoor lounge featuring pink leather swings bathed in infrared light. Featuring DJs Mai, Kevin Mcgarry, Chooc Ly Tan & Bapari.
11/5: Facials by Andrea Ámez† | 10 AM - 6 PM
Andrea Ámez is not just an esthetician, she is a healer with hands of gold. Trained at the Aveda Institute Los Angeles, Andrea combines both a scientific and holistic approach in her treatments and firmly believes that with the power of intention we can become our best selves both internally and externally. She will be offering 30 minute facial healing sessions with acupressure massage and lymphatic drainage release with TCM Gua Sha techniques. Treatments will focus on lifting and draining excess water and toxins post Halloween. COME N GET GLOWED UP.

11/15: Sparkly 22’s Miracle Zone* (Kundalini) | 6 PMSparkly 22’s Miracle Zone is a workshop that combines the practice of Kundalini Yoga, ritual, gesture and voice for the purpose of empowering the phy sical body with magic of the higher worlds. Together we create a zone to receive miracles. In this workshop we will practice basic Kundalini exercises, an advanced kriya for creative manifestation, followed by a participatory ritual involving Sparkly 22’s ceramic instruments. Come prepared to co-create with the universe in the Miracle Zone.

Laney Paradise is an herbalist and Biodiversity Agent. She / they recently moved from Portland, OR to Los Angeles to aid in reforestation and increase plant biodiversity. This workshop is curated to be accessible to anyone with trained or narrative plant knowledge. We will explore native medicinal plants that grow in Los Angeles, their healing properties and methods of preparations. There are medicinal plants growing on every corner and alleyway & they are available to ally with you towards reciprocal healing and abundance.Free *Donations welcome/sliding scale $1-11

Reiki can be described as spiritually guided force energy that restores energetic balance, raises vibration, and clears energy pathways. She believes that you are your true healer and her job is to assist your connection to the divine and your higher self. During your hands-on session you will experience relaxation that promotes healing from within.
