The Armory Show Haena Yoo & Roksana Pirouzmand

For the Armory Show we are excited to present a dual booth featuring new sculptural works by artists Roksana Pirouzmand and Haena Yoo. The presentation is a reflection on diasporic identity and memory centering the female body as a site of transformation, deterioration, and preservation. As American immigrants from Yazd, Iran and Seoul, Korea, respectively, Pirouzmand and Yoo’s artwork responds to the deeply entrenched, complex legacy of Westernization that has eroded bonds with their cultural histories.
